A Day in the Life

Yay! it's Saturday
As someone who has been working 8AM-12AM nearly every day for few months now........

Yay! it's Saturday

As I type, the sun is beginning to set at 8:00 PM. My children are upstairs playing (interspersed with squabbling), whilst I'm enjoying a moment of quiet time and the lovely entertainment of birds feasting on the goodies our back garden provide them (at the moment I'm watching a blackbird, a robin, two crows, two pigeons and poppa-gull)

It's been a lovely day all around.

Cypress and Zephyr woke up as 'Friends'.  As 'Buddies'
This is a rarity, so I took notice as they played together in some imaginary land that only they probably understand entirely.

Indigo (the oldest) enjoyed some independent-time in the kitchen making her own breakfast, whilst I enjoyed......Coffee!  and my dear Hubby's convo's about things I rarely understand, but I still find interesting (usually is about physics, math...or Lego)

<---(This makes sense to me),

I did enjoy my morning Yoga.

This is NOT me...but this is what I
aim for (he's 83!!)
I cannot stress enough (as a 42  year old, half way through year 43).......DO YOUR EXERCISES.  If you can't walk, run, bike, dance......at least do Yoga...the kind that keeps your muscles stretched and body limber.

In between my Cappuccino and my Yoga this morning, my lovely Cypress came and showed me a Fabulous Lego horse-n-cart she built ''all on her own''.

I have to say, I'm impressed!  and I'm also pleased that I never managed to buy my girls a 'horse-n-cart' toy in the past (they have asked me for one on numerous occasions). The lack of such toy has obviously spurred on some creativity here.

Cypress and Zephyr went on for a couple of hours making all sorts of interesting Lego creations (whilst I enjoyed an espresso....or two).  Indigo and I managed to slip out for a 'Mommy & Daughter' errand together, searching for colourful envelopes (which we didn't find), but came home with a PLETHORA of art supplies we found cheaply at some store called 'The Works' (yay!)

We also came home with a nice juicy Pomegranate

Indigo spent the rest of the day doing a 'Paint by Number' (she LOVES to sort things...and pleaded for this Paint-by-Number, so I gave in......none of the rest of us have the patience)

Cypress, in the meantime, did some scratch-pad art, then some 'make princess frilly things' craft  (and lots of other things...'cause she has no patience!)

Whilst Zephyr either swung on the swing, built Lego things, or..............

For the most part we just hung out together in the back garden
But some of us have achieved a life-long goal
