We've been extremely busy (as usual) getting ready for our big move to the seaside! Oh, didn't I tell you? We found a house in Goring-by-Sea last week, decided it was perfect, and are in process of signing leases, packing boxes, and wondering where the heck we find the money to move. I'll post more on all of this later when my head has cleared.
In meantime, our daughter, Indigo, has been encouraged by her father to write a letter to her most favourite person in the world (other than me, her father, her Gran, etc), and that person is Sir David Attenborough. Indigo has watched nearly every Attenborough documentary, several times over. When she wakes up before us in the mornings, she rushes downstairs to watch yet another (because her siblings are not keen to watch documentaries, preferring cartoons instead).
Indigo teaches us MUCH about animals and nature. She's a walking encyclopedia, with a big heart who adores Sir David (not to mention we spend as much time possible in forests, meadows and seasides, AND I read them many nature-inspired books). She often tells us she loves him, so like any adoring fan, her father showed her how to write a 'Fan' letter. So! we will see what happens. (I hope he writes back! even if just a standard response, it would be nice). Okay, well I have to go pack more boxes (the story of my life!).
