Tissue Paper Stars

The children and I are studying 'Rainbows' at the same time we tiptoe in to studying 'Space'.
We found ourselves wanting to make Rainbows and Stars at the same time, so we made these!

They are 'Tissue Paper Stars', or 'Window Stars' and were fun to make. We admired what we had created at night, but the real fun was the next day, when the sun (a space topic!) came pouring through the window where we hung our stars.

They are sooo pretty! and look like stain-glass rainbow stars. Not to mention they add a happy soothing atmosphere (space topic!) to our home. We have a few up in the photo below, but decided we now want to fill the window with loads more of many shapes & sizes. These are fun to make.
