Today is Saturday, the weather is perfectly Autumn, and the kiddo's and I are getting through a lot of our 'to-do's', and a bit more.
I was asked yesterday if we could to a 'Reading Picnic' today, so the lovely Indigo baked us some chocolate muffins whilst I prepared sandwiches and other nibbles. Then we enjoyed reading stories aloud in the back garden whilst enjoying the yummy picnic too.
After a few hours of working on various craft projects, we took a break and head over to Rustington to run a few errands. I swore we would not buy anything other than what was on our list (yeast, cooking apples), BUT, we saw a box of books for 10p each at a charity shop, so we scrounged up pocket money to bring home a few. Oh, and then Zephyr changed his mind about being Harry Potter for Halloween, when he found a skeleton mask, which he's been wearing ALL day, including when we walked through our neighbourhood to the post box. The neighbours already think we're nutters so I suppose it doesn't matter.
Kiddo's are quietly reading their new books. After my relaxing tea break I must get back to finishing up to-do's. We're finishing up our Halloween themed Matchbox Swap, and also on the list is to create 'Security Badges' for Indigo's girlfriends she's invited to her 'Secret Agent' birthday fun next month. Oh, and also finally finishing all of our 'Family Questionnaire' booklets to send back home to my side of the family. My children are quite keen to get to know more of their Family History since our
home ed event last month!
Here's a snapshot of our finds :)
